I watch the Time Team shows on YouTube all the time. I was wondering if anyone on the forum from the UK has ever had any historical digs near them? Also, do people from the UK watch this show? For people who don't want it, it is historical digs all through the UK/Scotland looking for architectural remains of castles, towns, special places going back as far as they can find stuff. They even did a dig in the garden of one of the Queen's residences. They give all sorts of historical and interesting information.
Used to like the program but stopped watching it because of that extream left wing Tony Robison he makes me sick.
Agree, the presenter can be a problem for me too Watch a lot of documentaries though on ancient sites
he doesn't quite make me sick..lol... but I stopped watching it a long time ago, in fact I'm not sure if it's still broadcast on TV .. so in answer to your question Bess, yes there has been archaeological digs near me, we live very close to a a Roman city and so all the surrounds out here in the country are rich in Roman finds,, and earlier...
I don't know anything about the host. I just watch the program on YouTube. The UK has the best history based programming. We get a good one in the USA from time to time, but they don't last because once we get past Indians or Pilgrims......the show is over.
