It's rainy season once again and when the rains come, they are usually escorted by lightning which produces loud thunder that torments our dogs. We have 3 dogs and the smallest one would be shaking with fear when thunder would strike successively. And to counter her fear, that dog would emit short barks.

What we do is to confine the dogs in one bedroom with a blaring radio so the sound of thunder would be deadened. It works all right but the dogs wouldn't want to be in the bedroom by themselves. They want someone with them.

Rains bring a cooler weather that we prefer than the excessive heat. But the thunder is a bother.

Corie try wrapping the dogs with a wide elastic strip such as used for sore joints or back it works for ours. Just the chest area. you could also use an old t-shirt just wrap it snug enough to hug.
