We all have certain songs and singers we cannot stand at all ....but I was just thinking..what about the songs you cannot stand which are sung by your favourite singer or Band....?

For example I love the Eagles...but OMG...I hate their song 'take it to the Limit''...I can't get to the off button quick enough when I hear that song.

I like Paul McCartney and Wings ....but I swear I will kill the next person that subjects me to the dirge of 'Mull of Kintyre''.. [IMG]

and equally 10cc are a great favourite of mine....but please don't let me hear.. 'Life is a Minestrone''..or I'll be making soup out of the person who plays it.. [IMG]

So...do you have particular songs that have you reaching for the off button from your favourite bands or singers.. ?...

My favorite singer is Johnny Cash. He has had one song in particular that he had high hopes for, but it just didn't pan out. Red Velvet, was one of his few "duds"!

Patsy I like the Osmonds..they were part of my teen years...but I have to agree about Crazy horses...*errrk*.... funnily enough I watched an interview with the Osmonds where they said of all the songs they'd written that was the one they were the most proud of.....they were trying to get out of singing 'easy listening' music..and into Rock music with that one..*fail* o_O

I can't think of one song in particular right now but when I was younger Cher was one of my favorite singers. When I would listen to many of her early songs though I always felt whoever was picking most of those songs just wasn't picking the right ones for her voice. And the songs aggravated me because to me they just did not "fit" Cher's vocal gifts.

I like most of the Eagles songs, but this one I can't listen to all the way through. Twice was enough. Didn't know it 'til now, but it was written in response to the Sept 11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

I think no matter how much you like a singer / band, they will always drop a song that not everyone likes. I'm glad we can get music track by track now, instead of having to buy a whole album and not even like half of it.

@Beth Gallagher That was so bizarre, I had to click it to YouTube just to figure out what it was. Apparently, A HUGE hit in Brazil a few years ago. Those people must be smoking plants we aren't even aware of yet.
