The Peak for today is I woke up and my back is hardly stiff or painful...there's just a little swelling. No Ben Gay today...and I can do things again. :) No tonight I might need a foot rub with my smell good lotion instead of a back rub by my Honey. :)

No peak or pit yet for me, still early. I do leave for PT in about 15 minutes and have no other plans for today.

My days are usually without peaks and pits though. Only pits I anticipate are ones when something needs fixing in the house and I can't do it.

Oh, forgot to mention a peak yesterday. My 3 grandsons in Illinois called me all happy and thanked me for their $25 each Target Gift card I sent them for Halloween along with some Halloween Star Wars stickers. :)

I have a super sense of direction tbh... I have a sat nav but I never use it unless I'm in a strange city and my destination is somewhere difficult to find... but only once did I have situation like yours.

Many years ago I went to a town I'd never visited to do some shopping..I parked in a multi storey car park about a 10 minute walk from the shopping centre... I remembered I'd parked on the 5th floor... and remembered the way back from the shops...and also took note that the car park closed at 6pm...

At about 20 to 6 I walked back made my way up to the 5th floor and it was completely empty...*yikes* I thought, I must have parked it on a different floor, so bearing in mind the time, and that very soon I won't be able to get out, I raced up and down different floors...all empty...no car...!! I had all sorts of visions of it having been stolen and me a long way from home , and it starting to get dark

I had about 6 minutes left, when I dashed outside to make sure I was in the right entrance or if there was another entrance somewhere only to discover there was an Identical multi storey car park right next door ( I mean WHAT???)...I jumped in the lift up to the 5th floor and there was my car sitting all on it's own...I made it out with about one minute to spare before they brought the shutters down.. *phew**

@Babs Hunt ..great news about your back...long may it continue.

I'm the one with the bad sense of direction in our family. I can go out my front door to go check the mail and still go the wrong way after all these years of living here.

Here's the peak of my day, while going out to the store I saw this. Thankfully I had a red light so I quickly took a pic with my iPhone.

Pit- My camera car breaking so I had to use my Phone to take pictures of the lake..which meant I couldn't get any close ups....

But here's a couple from my phone just as the sun was going down...

Yes @Holly Saunders, at least I can move around the house. I hate that chair to the point that I hide it in Micheal’s old office just so I don’t have to think about the day I’ll be stuck in it as my sister, mother, and grandmother were in their later years.

Now I put a bungy cord on Riji’s crate door at night.

Bobert has come to the conclusion, just as my husband did, that 9 out of 10 times, I’ll injure my left side. I have no idea as to why, but that seems to be the way of things for me.

Four days before that, while using my new vegetable mandolin, I sliced up my left thumb in three places. So Bobert has been bandaging that for me.

Believe it or not I’m not a clumsy person, just one sided.

Peak: Since the cold weather is over with my back and hips have no more pain or stiffness. :)

Pit: Flooding once again in our City after only a few hours of intense rain today. I won't know how bad it is until I watch the 5pm News....but our City definitely is going to have to improve drainage here.

Pit of my day -- Feeling exhausted and breathless due to a chest infection..and having to use an inhaler several times today after coming back from shopping

Peak of my day... buying some new tops ...( although Pit was having to buy size larger than normal) and then double Peak was o/h telling me to book a holiday (vacation)..for us over the Christmas period as it's the only time he'll have off work for a while.. when I pointed out that Christmas is hugely expensive for flights as well as accommodation which is why we usually go earlier or later ..he said to go ahead anyway that it's something we both deserve after a heckava year, AND to choose anywhere I like.

MY second Pit-- is that having looked at the enormous jacked up ''Christmas'' prices of holidays and flights ( some as much as 6 times the normal price)...I just cannot bring myself to justify allowing him to pay so much

Peak: Burned most of the enormous pile of limbs and trunk of the pine tree that was felled by the wind last week.

Pit: While the fire was burning I decided to catch some fish...didn't get a bite.

Is it just that jacked up price...or is there other reasons you might not be enthused about booking during the Holidays?

Not at all @Babs Hunt , I would be delighted to go away at Christmas... I love everything to do with festive period. I just feel that the prices are astronomical compared to maybe just a few weeks before or after.... and although I'm not exactly tight with money ( my husband always jokes that I am, because I'm Scottish)... but I just hate that people get ripped off for things because it's a particularly popular time of year.

Pit: Wife had to set in stopped traffic yesterday morning going into work due to a motorcycle accident. She was driving our 1997 Dodge RAM 1500 truck, that we don't use very much. It's has 155k miles on it. The gas in it was somewhat low and sitting in traffic lower the gas gauge even more. She made it to work, but I didn't want her to run out on the way home, so I took a couple of gallons of gas to her work and put into truck. When I checked the gas gauge, the Check Engine light stayed on. So, I left the Durango with her and took the truck to have a auto parts store use a Code Analyzer to see what the problem was. Appears that there is a problem with a Purge Valve. Thing is, we just had a new one put in this past May. So, back to Midas to see what they say.

Perk: Got my new glasses yesterday. Another set of lenses are going to be made, because the manufacturer forgot to make the lenses "transitional" for sunlight. Hope there's not a lot of sunlight this weekend, because I don't want to switch back and forth from my new glasses to my old ones (old ones are "transitional" for sun). IOW, I want my eyes to adjust (get use to) the new specifications of my new lenses, so when the newer (with "transition") come in, I won't have any problem wearing them. Does this make any sense?

Oh, another Perk....... wife is taking Monday off (PTO) and hopefully we will be able to take our boat out for the last time this year. If not, will have to get it ready for "rest time" until next March/April.

Personally, Holly, I don't think people get "ripped off", because there are so many people today that, due to today's salaries, have absolutely no problem paying for higher costs during the holidays. It's like they expect it and simply accept it.
