My favorite place to shop and browse is a thrift store.

Pit: I've had urology issues & motivation issues and my acreage has overgrown.

Peak: I woke up this morning to the sound of my 2 neighbors (brothers) driving their zero turn mowers around my house (7 acres of lawn.) Such very nice people. We do what we can to help each other down here. I'm so blessed.

#1 Pit: Yesterday we went to our local County Fair/Rodeo. The forecast called for afternoon showers/thunderstorms, but we sure didn't know how hard we'd get hit at the Fair. As we were heading towards the fairgrounds, we could see heavy rain over the foothills to the west of us. We were smart though. Had our umbrellas, plastic rain covers for our cowboy hats and two rain ponchos. While we were in the livestock barn (hogs/goats/cattle) it started to rain. We were hungry, so we got out our umbrellas and headed towards a large tent where tables were set up to sit at. There was no food vendors in the tent. All of a sudden, it started pouring rain, and I do mean pouring. Couldn't even see the Fair rides! Then, all of a sudden, a river of water came into the tent. I looked down and it was flowing very fast towards us. Everyone started going towards a corner of the tent where the grass was still somewhat dry, but the water was flowing fast. We put up our umbrellas and left the tent and headed towards a building. I don't remember the last time I seen it rain that hard!

#2 Pit: It was Military Appreciation & First Responders Night at the rodeo. We specifically picked last night to go due to that. Unfortunately, none of the Veterans or Active-Duty Military in the stands were honored. It was an indoor rodeo. At an Appreciation Rodeo Day or Night, generally all military service flags are brought into the arena and all Vets and Active-Duty are asked to stand for an applause. That didn't happen!

Peak: Rodeo was good as was the pizza my wife had and the hot dog and Nachos Supreme that I had. And, this included a nice size cup of Bud Light beer. The Rodeo Clown was insanely funny! The Budweiser Events Center, where the rodeo was, was darn near sold out for the rodeo.

Peak - good BD lunch with BFF
Pit - so much on my plate and just can not get anything accomplished. We are seriously considering moving to KS, as I had posted a time back. May learn more after this week, and feel we need to make up our mind.

Pit: I woke up at 4:30AM having a full-blown panic attack. I got this damned catheter in me, I have to sleep on my back (which is my least favorite position), I got no communication from the doctor, I got no diagnosis, and I feel like I'm held captive in a nightmare. I couldn't even go to the bathroom for a sense of normalcy because...well...I got a catheter in me. So I got up, walked around a bit, then went back to bed...but had to leave the light on. Day Eleven in The John Brunner Bladder Hostage Crisis. This is bull$hit.

Peak: Once I got off of the antibiotics last Sunday, I can still poop...so I got that going for me.

(I used to swear I would never reach this stage of life.)

    John,
I can feel your frustration, the only thing I can say is if you need to contact your doctor call him have a list of questions ready, you don't have to wait for him to call you let him know what your mental state is and how it's affecting you.
I wish I could be of more help,
    Tony

I replied here to keep my urology issues in one spot, even though I did slop them into this thread.

Peak: Out my ways, we haul our trash & recyclables off to drop-off points and throw the stuff into large roll-off dumpsters that get taken to the landfill. I needed to get out of the house, so I loaded up my truck and went to the one most convenient to my other errands. I pulled in and the bags were stacked sky-high. Usually there's an attendant who runs the compactor when the dumpster gets full, but this stuff was several feet over the top. I thought that no one showed up for work that day. So I'm unloading my truck and the scruffy-looking country guy ambles out of the shack they have there and turns on the compactor. "I was watching TV and the time got away from me." I figured he got caught up in the FBI/Trump debacle, so I asked what he was watching. "Soap operas. Days of Our Lives and The Young & The Restless. You know, you can stop watching for months, but always pick right back up where you left off?" LOL!!!!! I cracked up.

Pit: There can be no pit after listening to Joe McScraggy, The Sensitive Trash Guy, talk about his favorite soaps.

We have lots of rain predicted for today so I got up and went to shop for cat food and myself before it started. The sun was out and hot as heck and I reached for my door handle on my Truck, before I could sit down in the seat I was stung on my left middle finger knuckle and I had to fight off several of them. I shopped and got home but next time I go out it will be with a can of flying insect spray. I know it works because I see dead large water roaches lying about with their legs sticking up in the air, that extra heart did not do them any good. I have little lizards living in my bathroom and I try very hard to never accidentally kill one, they keep those mosquitoes and other small flying insects under control. I always look at the bottom of my shower to make sure none are trapped before I Turn on the hot water. I like those little creatures who do so much to help us. The peak is if it starts raining I can turn in and get some serious rest. I remembered to park my truck in high center of the driveway just in case I get flooded. Sometimes when it rains heavy we have 8 inches of standing water. It drains fast to a bayou that goes out to the Mississippi River via intersecting with other bayous. It usually gets back to normal within two to three hours. One bridge leading out of my community is about 30 feet high, I have seen the water licking the bottom of that bridge. Of course the water around me goes under that bridge at some point. Most of the time the bayou is almost dry and even gets stagnate.

If I leave the truck outside, wasps build nests in the frame, door frames, wherever. I have to go out at night and spray them. If I leave it in the pole shed, mice make nests and eat the wires. Some critters I can do without.
