But today is ideal for us who make it so. Horacio Dresser (1866-1954) probably addressed his patients and students with this wisdom in philosophy. An ideal day for me in August would include being able to: write without interruptions and mental block get a cow and milk it, and drink the pure raw milk enjoy a sunny day outside in the garden feel good and get the best of what I've planned to do hear my husband's bosses tell him that he could work with them permanently now, nearing the end of 18 months contract with them Woo-hoo! say more encouraging words to friends and family. see my "run-away" adult daughter to come back to finish, with flying colors and good grades, the online courses (3) I've taken up lately get a holiday and write more without interruptions... What include your ideal day?
I never thought of putting together a list on how my ideal day would be, not even can bring to mind some ideas about it. However sounds like an interesting exercise trying to wonder how it should be and bringing back the outcome of my reflections
I have had more Ideal days, since my retirement! To wake up, ease into the day, work off my own to-do list, rather than someone else's. Now my "Honey-do list is a different matter altogether, and would be part of my ideal day as well. To enjoy the breaks to eat the wonderful meals my Wife prepares, and to relax in the evening with the TV, records, or a good book. A good night's sleep would cap off the day, with the promise of another good day, coming down the tracks!
I hadn't had a list, either, -- since I thought of the post and starting this thread. You know, often, writers write our heart and soul at the tip of our fingertips. The list just came alongside me about what have been going on inside my head that I'd been praying and hoping to see happened. The list could be longer :-D.
In terms of writing, I think my ideal day would be one where I woke up and discovered that I had suddenly acquired the combined writing talents of Fyodor Dostoevsky and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
