Ever sent a text message, if you do "texting", to the wrong person? My wife's friend's husband, in Michigan, sent us a text message yesterday, to what was suppose to go to their son and family, asking if they would be home so they could stop by with presents. They plan on driving back down here to their Florida home next week. Snowbirds. Anyway, I got the text on my phone and what thinking "what?". My wife had me send a text back saying "sure, and be sure to bring the presents with you". The husband and his wife are in Michigan and we are here in Florida. Wife and I both laughed our butts off before and after sending our text as a reply.

The husband texted back saying, "I hate when I do that!"

So, have you ever sent a text to the wrong person?

Yes, many times. Sometimes if I notice it quickly enough I can delete it before they see it.

If not, I just say "sorry that was meant for someone else.

It usually happens when I'm texting with more than one person at a time...usually my sister and daughter or two sisters...no big deal.

No but I rarely text anyway. Texting is for people with small fingers and probably for someone who is adept at the game of Tetris.

Perhaps if the OP were directed at those who like to text at stop lights and even possibly those who like to weave in and around traffic might draw the better response. Most certainly, the sound of horns all around themselves would be quite the distraction and might provoke one to text the wrong person. Poor dears.

I text mostly on my iPad @Bobby Cole so it's never in the car. It's just being careless when texting with two people at the same time.

But once Ive made a booboo, I'm careful and check to see that it's the right name that I'm sending the text to...

Ive texted with your wife a few times...more than a few and have made the occasional error. :)

Also a pain are the autocorrect errors......:)

I have long thinner fingers, whereas my brother has short, thick fingers. I know the computer keyboard very well and can type upwards of 60+ wpm...…..and that's very good for a male. He absolutely hates computers and know nothing about typing nor cares about it. I definitely don't text, with two thumbs, like all young folks do, but I can text with one finger...….but, still not fast.

My last Supervisor/Director done the "hunt and peck" computer keyboard typing, but I'd never seen anybody do it as fast as he did.

When a customer is waiting on the manager or assistant manager of a vehicle repair shop to do the invoice, and he is doing the "hunt and peck" typing, it can become somewhat frustrating for the customer.

Yes, I have. I don't text much anymore, though.

Seems like my SIL likes both calling and texting us, as does my BIL. We'd rather talk to them over the phone, but when the "texting" is done by other family members, guess we have to also.

I don't like talking on the phone so I'm glad that there is texting.
