I would say about #4, although it's hard to draw lines between them. "Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." -- George Santayana, Spanish/American philosopher
Yep, I've heard that old story. I know several people, including my life-long best buddy, who are in the category of not caring what's going on outside of their immediate world. I cannot understand how they think (or don't).
Fear,Denial and just not paying attention many are precoccupied with gadgets ,games, social media ,etc, etc, etc,. Maybe they are the wise ones since there doesn't seem to be anything anyone can do about any of it now anyway. I think we are way past that now. It is dangerous anymore to even speak of most thing going on.
Speaking of my best friend, he never uses a computer, doesn't even know how. He's a semi-retired farmer (still doing hay) is still running a 4-man machine shop and tends to a million things every day. He doesn't have time to keep up with the outside world. Whatever reason people have for not keeping up is to the detriment of the country as a whole. Liberty is the easiest thing in the world to lose -- you don't have to do anything. I also think we are past the tipping point.
