My son friended a young lady on FB and she maliciously screwed up both his profile and messenger accounts replacing his name with hers. I told him to blocked her on messenger and unfriend her on FB.

He had no access to his account. To say he was upset was an understatement so I let him use my cell number and he was able to block and unfriend the young lady.

That was probably Ella. She's always up to something, that one.

Oh that's awful! So sorry to hear. How on earth was she able to get in to his account?

I don't have a Facebook account, and the one thing I've yet to grasp are the businesses who have a Facebook presence but no web site.

I was told that anyone can get on the business FB sites, even if the visitor does not have a FB account, but I've yet to be able to do so without have the bottom half page covered with "Sign In/Sign Up" crap.

Seems like a very limiting way to put your business out there.

My church has a FB account.

Our pastor has been doing services that way. But between my not having a FB account to see things properly and my country internet, I don't even bother.

Another year or so and I'll have fiber! I won't know what to do.

I think that this probably seems strange to people who do not have a Facebook account, but has become pretty normal way of doing things. Many new businesses, or home businesses don’t have any trouble maintaining their facebook page, but would have to pay for someone to set up and run a whole website, and often, only basic information is needed anyway.

As an example, our fitness center , which is part of the Huntsville Hospital organization, does not have its own separate website; but it does have a facebook page.
The Hospital has a website, so a person can go there and find out basic information about the Wellness Center, but if you just want to know about locations, hours, programs, and such as that, it is all on the facebook page.

We have a friend that sells baked goods from her home. she does not even need a website, but she has a special facebook page just for her bakery account.
Since more and more people use social media, I think that having a facebook page has pretty much become a necessity for just about any business, whether they have a website or not.
