Will this merger affect those of us who are serviced by either one of these Companies? And if so will the effects be for the better or for worse?

It often seems when a Company pays big bucks for another Company...we consumers end up paying bigger bucks for doing business with them too. I hope that won't be the case this time. I'm a realist though, these Companies are definitely in business for the profit...and one way or the other any one of us who does business with them are going to help them make that profit.

    Such is life. :)

I think it has yet to be approved by the Feds, but they claim it will improve service and lower prices. Only time will tell if this is the case.

I just hate it when I read something and it sounds like it's a "done deal"....as in this case with T-Mobile and Sprint.

Doing more research into this I find it is probably far from being a done deal...and may never even get to that point. This kind of thing has been put before the Regulators before and they did not give approval so it could happen. So it may not happen this time around either. I'm sure though that one day it will happen and all my questions and wonderings about whether or not this will be a good thing, etc....will be answered.

For today, since this is not a done deal....I can put all those questions and wonderings aside and go on to something else. :)

Since mergers reduce the competition, the results are usually higher prices and poorer service.

Yes, I tend to agree with you on this.
