I awoke yesterday morning to find that my electrical power was out. It didn't come back on until after 1:00 pm. According to the Bangor Daily, a Millinocket squirrel is blamed. They say that "a squirrel had snuck into the substation, causing the equipment to sense a disruption and shut down automatically."

Well, at least someone got a photo of him, so now they know what squirrel to watch for, and hopefully he won’t sabotage any more power lines and cause outages.

I was standing in an alleyway and witnessed a squirrel get electrocuted dropping dead to the ground sounding like a big rock. I shook my head thinking, 'Stupid squirrel."
