Soylent Green was on TCM last night so we watched it again. Why be buried or cremated when you can become food?
Oooer - that's a strange film Sheldon, not seen that one. Think I'll give it a miss, would put me off me tea by the sounds of it
Ooo - you're right Ike - I wouldn't eat it, I'd throw meself in the river then they'd eat me wouldn't they - I just won't go there
omg that was a good flic, at least it was to me when I first watched it Loved Charlton, and Edward G. I have that movie I think on Netflix. Maybe I'll finally watch it again, thanks Sheldon!! If you've never seen the movie, I highly recommend it. A lot of those thrillers seemed so far-fetched back then, but today, who knows if this stuff isn't happening, LOL!!
Soylent Green came out in 1973, and the show was suppose to project what was happening in 2022. Thank you powers that be that society isn't in that bad of a condition. Back in the 70's, this kind of movie scared the you know what out of me. Now, today that movie is considered tame compared to what we see on the big screens. @Patsy Faye the movie is more of a mystery than a scary show, and you really do not get the idea of cannibalism until the very end of the show.
Just think, we could each have a cracker named after us!! The Denise Cracker, a bit chewy, and only half-baked, LOL!!
