I love eating Sloppy Joe's, and recently my aunt gave me a simple tasty recipe that is good as is or even to be used as spaghetti sauce. Three ingredients added to your cooked hamburger.
    1. One can of tomato paste
    2. One small jar of taco sauce (1 1/2 cups)
    3. One can of tomato soup
Adjust ingredients with amount of meat used.
Mix it all together and heat to boiling then simmer until ready to use.
When I cook my hamburger I usually add chopped onions and green peppers, and Italian seasoning for extra flavor. You can use any brand or strength of taco sauce, as they say some like it hot. And then consider using it as a sauce for spaghetti or macaroni, or any Italian dish. Works well with pizza too.

You need one more ingredient. My mother always added a golf ball size amount of pickling spice in a cheesecloth bag. It makes a world of difference to sloppy joes.

I have seen lots of Sloppy Joe sauce recipes on the web. I made one of them that I thought was quite good, but I am not sure where I got it. Sheldon Scott, I have pickling spice sitting in my cupboard that has been there for years, because I don't make pickles..putting it in a sloppy Joe Mix is a grand idea! Thanks!

I haven't made sloppy joes in a long time. I'll try your recipe soon, with added pickling spice, of course.
