This little group is so amazing. They now are pretty famous, but this little guy is behind them. The name "Sleepy" is because when he was first learning how to play the banjo was bigger than he and he had to play in bed!

Wow, that was awesome. Thanks for posting. It's always amazing to me what humans are capable of doing - and at such a young age. All three youngsters are so talented, it will be interesting to see what they can do in a few more years.

My husband, at 59, is trying to learn to play the banjo. I'm afraid he's nowhere near this yet - I'll have to forward him the video, for a little encouragement.

Your original posting made me look them up on youtube, to show my husband. They're from New Jersey, which is more known for rock like Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi rather than bluegrass. Here are three more songs from them. If you like bluegrass, they are totally amazing, especially the second song, which they wrote themselves (starts around 2:30 into the video). The speed in which they are able to play this song - whew!

Thanks, Mal! I love watching those kids play! Has the clips encouraged your husband or has he gone to a ukulele!

He loved the clips - but he had that hang dog look when he realized how good he'd never be!! Of course, those boys have probably practiced more in their short lives then we ever will.

Well, when he is ready, send us a clip here and I will be happy to extend an e-applause to him! I am trying to learn how to play a simple wooden Thai flute and can't even capture the scales yet! It looks like a toy but the friend who gave it to me could probably play "Rhapsody in Blue" on it!
