Well I made it to our sisters (and a SIL) Birthday bash at the beach...but if you look closely you will see I am in my pajamas for the balcony pictures while my sisters and SIL are in regular clothing. I am still not well and although I look okay on the outside...there is still some healing going on inside of me which put a damper on my being able to participate in all the birthday festivities. Still what matters is that I got to be with my family and that I finally made it to the beach again. We were celebrating not just my birthday but two of my sisters' also and we ended up with 2 King cakes, 1 Carrot cake, 2 dozen brownies, 6 Vanilla chocolate chunk and 6 blueberry giant muffins, a dozen chocolate chip cookies and numerous bags of chocolates, etc. I could not believe all the sweet treats that everyone brought and of course lots of those same things went home with some of us too. It seems we brought everything but healthy food to eat. Of course that was taken care of by a trip to Rouse's Super market once we settled in. There was meals eaten out, shopping trips, and even a trip to a Casino for my sisters and SIL...I did not feel up to going to any of those things but I did enjoy our talks, our playing cards and Scrabble and just plain being with each other for a little while. Since one of our sisters could not make the trip, we asked our SIL to join us for the first time and we all decided from now on if we plan any more sister trips our SIL will be invited to come too...she fit in perfectly with us all. I'm 68 years old now and thankful for every one of those years...but I sure wish I felt well again too.
Lovely photos Babs.... I'm sorry you were still not well enough to partake in all the activities, but it was a lovely rest for you anyway being with your sisters... and by the beach!! I'm pleased you all had a lovely time...
Wonderful pictures, @Babs Hunt . Memories made, memories shared. Which one is your SIL? I think I can guess but not sure.
Those are real pretty pajamas Babs! The lady second from left Must be a Sister! You two strongly resemble each other. How wonderful for you to have such a loving family. Great photos.
The lady second left in the first picture is Babs' double...they could be twins..I agree with you Lulu , very much alike... although I think I remember you telling us before Babs, that she was your younger sister..
My SIL is the second one on the left in the second picture...the skinny one with the black hair and jacket.
Yes, she is my "twin" sister....we share the same birth date (Feb. 25th) but she is 5 years younger than me.
In the first picture all of the ladies standing with me are my sisters Lulu. Glad you like my pjs....they are close enough to capris with a matching top that I didn't mind having my picture taken in them.
I thought she was the one.. so I was right.. but then I've seen pictures of you and your sisters before and not your s-i-l so I suspect I did have a little clue... I hope your feeling a little better today Babs..
Thanks Holly...no coughing yesterday or this morning. Now If I can just get my strength and energy back I'll feel like myself again. I'm going to make an appointment with an Allergist today as this year I hope to start taking allergy shots and I'm hoping that will help me be able to spend more time outdoors without having so many respiratory and sinus problems.
