The state of the art US navy have a problem if this is true. The USS Donald Cook turned in to Donald Duck.
Yeah, that happened in April of 2012. The only demoralizing factor among the crew of the Cook was the fact that they were not allowed to knock the Russian fighter jet out of the sky. Other than that it was kind of like a reverse of the movie, "top Gun" whereby the unarmed jet just taunted the American destroyer support ship and it was not disabled. One thing that did happen though was that the Pentagon warned Putin that the next time would be somewhat different in that our ships were pretty much declared "no fly" zones and anyone buzzing a U.S. ship would be shot down. So yeah, there is a little bit of truth in the telling of the incident but only a little with the exception of how much damage our ship is capable of doing.
