    Age 66. The articles don't say much, just that it was unexpected. Cause not revealed.

    I think that an argument could be made that he was the greatest fighter of them all. He lost a controversial split decision to the equally great Sugar Ray Leonard and retired when Ray reportedly wouldn't give him a rematch.

    During my life, the Golden Era of boxing was the days of Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, Benitez and a few others at that time.

    I've never been a boxing fan, but I hate to hear of his death. RIP "Marvelous Marvin."

    He was a tough boxer. I thought he beat Leonard.
