http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/06/politics/nancy-reagan-dies-obit/index.html I don't remember much about the Presidency of Ronald Reagan but I do remember how I thought he and Nancy were such a loving couple and I wanted the closeness of a marriage like that some day. I hope she and "Ronnie" are rejoicing in heaven today and feeling the love once again. R.I.P. Nancy Reagan.
I always admired how she and President Reagan adored each other. They were dedicated to each other..a true love story. They are together again now..RIP Nancy.
I've read some of his papers and documentation of his life and presidency... it was very evident, in both public and private writings that he adored Nancy, and she him. Such a touching story... in one of his journals he was talking about how he missed her when she was traveling and that he couldn't sleep and couldn't wait for her to get back so they could be together once more. And now they are. I suspect they're both smiling this morning.
A lot of people have said nasty things about her over the years, but one thing was always clear. She loved and adored her man (and he, her), and it's unusual to see such devotion in this day and age. I'm glad they're together again.
I have a feeling if they are together again...they probably aren't resting, there's way to much to catch up on!
R. I. P. former first Lady Nancy Reagan and thank you for all you did for America. The flags in town are all at half mast today. I heard the news on the news this morning, she was 94 years old.
I'm enjoying all the reviews and pictures of her life with Ronnie on the News. You can just see the love "glow" between them...it is like the "honeymoon" lasted forever for Nancy and Ronnie.
Well, I have not heard if any of the other presidents have gone to her funeral. Nothing said that Obama was going on any of the news stories that I saw; so it is pretty safe to assume that he isn't going. One thing that did impress me was that Hillary Clinton actually took time off from her campaign and went to the funeral. As much as I have not wanted her to become our president , I think that it speaks well of her that she took the time to go to the funeral herself.
She lived a good long life. In fact, she lived fourteen years longer that her beloved husband did. I am sure having watched my mother outlive my father by six years this wasn't easy for her. It's nice to know that she and Reagan have been reunited now. She was a fine first lady of this country.
