    Good evening to all-

I am very glad to be on this forum now. I enjoy exchanging ideas and words with intelligent people.
I write for several magazines and online publications. I write primarily about fishing- both salt and freshwater. I have also written quite a bit about living in the country and aspects of rural life.
It seems to me that anyone who is interested in being a writer- of any kind and on any subject area- must spend considerable time learning and taking part in that activity. That's why I try to go fishing so very often. It's part of my job. It's necessary. At least, that's what I tell my wife.

And no, she doesn't believe that sort of reasoning any more than you do. I go fishing because I like it and it gets me from behind the lawn mower and other unpleasant chores.

I do look forward to getting to know you all here.

    good night to all- Ed

This Ed fishes also mostly from shore now. Bluegill here are in their spawn now and are suckers for any black fly. I used meal worms a lot but you have to re-bait almost every cast. Bass opens June 13th.
