Oh God - me ribs ache
@Patsy Faye, your gift card should be in your email inbox. It doesn't look like there is any problem with my sending them through Amazon UK.
Thank you Ken
@Patsy Faye I said at the top, not on top.
When you get lazy, good old missionary is fine.
That's me ruled out then ha ha x
But still post a lot Honey....we enjoy it!!
Thank you Chrissy. I am only new so lots of posting to do. X
You'll get there, we were all new once. That's deep!
I think they took too much blood...I'm feeling silly.
As I mentioned earlier, I will be adding more drawings, some of which will be open to new members who aren't yet able to compete so readily with total number of posts. I haven't finalized any details on that yet but I might just choose random categories of members to be eligible for some of these drawings. I can't just use the whole membership list because some of them are banned spammers, others have never posted, and still others haven't been here in a while, and I don't want to have to track anyone down. Besides, I would rather reward those who are participating in making this a fun forum, and particularly those who are participating the most.
You make me laugh which is lovely x.
I just like to have fun on a forum, I know that some topics are serious but I like the fun ones...life is serious enough .
I can also imagine @Ken Anderson cringing when I take a topic of course like this one. I do feel I shouldn't but I can't help myself.
Ken wants it neat with the drawing and the results probably....maybe a few congrats.
The next drawing will be on November 14.
Was going to post a cartoon of a 'Thumbs Up', then remembered you live in the UK. (caught myself in time).
Glad you won.
Just seen the posts - thank you both
Is thumbs up something naughty in the U.K.?
Also, I write UK and it always changes it to U.K. So not sure which is correct but just live with it.
I have enough corrections to make as it is....seems my words run together, a letter is missing...lots of errors lately
None of which are my fault.
Oh....forgot "fanny, that's a different meaning.
Thumbs up is good in the UK has been for many a long year, I give the sign often
If its changed (like bad meaning good) I don't know about it and I won't change me ways anyway
Thumbs up is Good in the UK @Tim Burr it means well done, or good....
@Chrissy Page it the UK..without a period in the middle
Oooh aaagh Fanny has a very different meaning in the UK @Chrissy Page
Not for me it don't - will always be 'Fanny by Gaslight' for me
It's funny how such things work. I have noticed that my spellchecker now tells me that I am wrong when I add periods to the abbreviation for the United States -- U.S. telling me that is is more commonly used without the periods -- US
@Holly Saunders, yes, I know it's the United Kingdom and I've always written it UK but it always autocorrects to U.K. Pain in the B. U.T. T.
If you see me writing it U.K. ....I do know the right way, I just didn't catch it because I'm lazy and seldom proofread.
I do edit after the fact but only if it's really obvious.
I don't understand that.
I do know that, Honey.....it's funny though that here it's a nice way of saying a woman's butt or a name of a type of purse...fanny pack.
Fanny by Gaslight (film) - Wikipedia
Its an old film Chrissy
Fanny is just a 'name' to me, no other meaning
