Rand Paul Shuts Down the "Government Machine"?

Well, maybe not; but it was certainly an interesting coincidence that had many people tweeting about the possibility today.
For anyone who may have missed this tidbit of news; here is what happened:
Today, Senator Rand Paul announced his bid to throw his hat in the ring for the Presidential race. One of the statements that he made was that "the Washington machine that gobbles up our freedoms and invades every nook and cranny of our lives must be stopped".
At the same approximate time, there was an explosion at a Maryland power plant that shut down all of the power in Washington DC, and parts of Maryland, as well.
Naturally, this has led to many jokes, speculations, and tweets about the whole incident.
I guess Rand showed them that he was serious ........
