Peter Fonda has died aged 79 after suffering respiratory failure from lung cancer. The actor, best known for his role in 1969 film Easy Rider, died Friday morning at his California home. Referring to the iconic movie he co-wrote and starred in, his family asked the world to 'raise a glass to freedom'. Peter was the younger brother of actress Jane Fonda and son of Henry Fonda and he is survived by his wife Margaret DeVogelere. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...dies-79-hospitalized-undisclosed-ailment.html
I liked Peter Fonda as much as I liked his Dad! I have his movie "Effortless Cruiser" and also Henry's "The Grapes of Wrath" and "Fail Safe". I don't know what his Sister was doing in Hanoi..... . Hal
I like his career work, but as a person, he wouldn't be someone I would want to hang out with. I'm quite sure the feeling would be mutual. But since he has passed away, I will give him respect.
My first encounter with Peter Fonda was in Ghost Rider (2007 Marvel) with Nicholas Cage. I have followed Nicholas Cage for years.
Altho' we did get Easy Rider here way back in the day in the UK...Peter Fonda has never made any kind of impression on the public here as a personality or celebrity.. quite unknown to most ..unlike his sister and father!.so I know nothing of the man himself!!
He has a great body of work as an actor and director. He may have even produced some movies. Probably all on a Wikipedia or IMBD site. As for him personally, his statement that Donald's Trump's little boy should be put in a cage with pedophiles is typical of his privileged a$$clown remarks thru the decades. I don't care how much a person doesn't like a politician, but saying negative things about their children is just wrong. He did apologize after the public jumped him for it, but who says crap like that?
