In recent weeks, I have submitted completed surveys to IHOP (International House of Pancakes), Dunkin' Donuts, and McDonalds. The first two were imprinted on our sales receipts. IHOP offered a free short stack, DD a free donut with coffee purchase. That one I've gotten 4 times now! (gotta quit eating so many donuts). The McDonalds receipt, I found lying somewhere, thrown away by the purchaser; I filled it out anyway, the offer providing a free Quarter Pounder with Cheese, when one is purchased. Securing the two burgers I was astounded by the everyday price, nowadays, of a Quarter Pounder w/cheese: $5.00! Last one I bought, quite awhile ago, was something under three bucks. When did these prices so escalate, or do they vary with geographical area? Frank
