Really freaky. Gave me a chill. Must be some very high-tech device, receiving guidance from a ground base. I strongly doubt it's an actual Pterodactyl.
While looking for a bird that might resemble a pterodactyl, I didn't find any. Someone suggested that the blue heron looks like a pterodactyl in flight, but I didn't think so. I did come across 10 facts about Pterodactyls that I found interesting, though.
This is actually only one of many videos that seem to show pterosaurs, and there are more that show them in Idaho and Montana. Both states have mountains that are mostly uninhabited and unexplored; so it is not impossible that a few of these (thought to be extinct) birds (?) might be flying around and no one would ever see them. Some of the videos are pretty clear, like this one is, and some of them are iffy, but there are enough that look real to make a person wonder if a few still exist in high mountain areas of the world. There are old photos of hunters who shot and killed one of these giants, and it is hard to say if it is a real photo, or one that someone photoshopped. However, there are pictures of some of the dinosaurs that were considered extinct millions of years ago, and people have carved pictures of them on pottery and buildings, so it is possible that this is yet another creature we thought didn’t exist, and maybe it does.
Such creatures in the modern era are also known as Ropens. The link is from a category that I created for my work a couple of years ago. Most of the books and websites on the subject are the work of one guy - Jonathan David Whitcomb - who, if they don't actually exist, has been a one-man crusade to persuade people that they do.
I'm still unable to find an explanation for this image, which is all over the internet. I think it's some sort of artwork. A painting? A sculpture?
