    I was out of picante hot sauce one day and used tabasco hot sauce on my eggs and found I liked it. So I continue on. Odd but I never appreciated much heat until I retired. Sometime i can't get enough of it.

    Comment: The weight lost this week is still short of what I gained over the holidays.

    You did better than me, I'm at a standstill. Now I just hope I don't gain at my daughter's....too many goodies here.

    Well, one Thread that I never thought I'd see on any forum except a dieting website/forum (LOL).

    But, since it is here..........wife and I will lose three/gain three. Seems like we get just enough exercise not to gain more than five at the most. She'd like to lose some 15 lbs. and I'd like to lose 20, but that just seems like it just isn't going to happen, so we don't push it.

    We simply like food, like burgers, fries, pizza, chips, Bud Light, fried shrimp, popcorn, ice cream and on and on way to much to stop eating the stuff. Don't indulge in the sweets nearly like we use to, but then again, we are both Diabetic II and take medication for it.

    Actually, we get much more exercise in the summer than we do in the winter here, and when I say "here", I'm talking about Florida. Right now, here in northeastern FL, the temp is 37 w/wind-chill of 27!

    Last year while dieting I did't move two pounds either direction. It was discouraging. I kepting on eating as I had but eating one slice of bread less daily or one piece of toast; cut out some little something. It got me off dead center and I started inching forward. I, too, am diebetic ll but now that I have lost some forty pounds, my diebetic medication has been in half and I hav been taken off medication for blood pressure entirely, because of weight loss. and I feel better. I don't exercise at all in the winter. In summer I use a foot peddler. Good luck with your own plans to lose a few pounds.

    Chris's, it's harder when we go visiting or have guests. We have to do the best we can and try to make up for it later. Good luck.

    Well, since I finally got down to 160 again My daily weight has bounced between 160 and 162 This morning it was down to 161. I hope to keep going down for a few more pounds. I don't have a weight goal. My goal is to eliminate belly fat. I think another 5 lbs. might do it.

    What you weigh is where I want to be and need to be but that's another twenty pounds from where I'm now at. I need to take it in small chunks so it want seem so formidable. Belly fat is my problem.

    Weigh-In day again:
    Gained one half pound. i81.5
    Pounds to Goal- 11.5 pounds
    Comment: I was doing good all week, two evening meals I had only fruit.
    But late yesterday my roommate made a German Chocolate bunt cake for
    our daughter's birthday, which is today. Our girl is in Austin and can't share
    this cake but I'm sure my roommate's thinking was, "It's the thought that counts."
    Any way, last night we topped off a fine meal with a a piece of that chocolate cake.
    Result? Weight up a half pound this morning.

    I weighed this morning and I have lost nine of the ten pounds I gained in the last year. I'm trying the low carb food plan. I won't call it a diet because if I do, the first thing that happens is that I will be hungry all the time. I would like to lose ten more to go with that ten. I have also started working out with my hand weights and elastic bands again. I had gotten slack at doing that. It's an easy habit to get out of.

    Shirley, nine pounds is great news. You should have hollard sooner as I sent that cake home with a couple of grandkids. I, too have started back with the rubber bands, giving the upper body a good stretch and workout. Good luck.

    Bill. how are you doing with the weight loss?

    My biggest problem has been my chocolate craving. I am a confirmed chocoholic. I found a recipe for making chocolate candy without sugar. It uses cream cheese, unsweetened chocolate bits, aspartame and pecans. I used Stevia instead of aspartame. It is not as good as a Hershey bar but it satisfies my chocolate craving.
