Just startied watching this and it’s pretty intense. Anybody watch this? Created by Bill Dubuque ("The Accountant," "The Judge"), this drama series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial planner who relocates his family from Chicago to a summer resort community in the Ozarks. With wife Wendy and their two kids in tow, Marty is on the move after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong, forcing him to pay off a substantial debt to a Mexican drug lord in order to keep his family safe. While the Byrdes' fate hangs in the balance, the dire circumstances force the fractured family to reconnect.
Watched the first episode and I think I’ll like it even though it’s not my type of show. Kind of reminds me a little of Breaking Bad. I like Jason Bateman and he does a good job in this in my opinion.
Not watching it yet, but it's on my very long list. I'm way behind, have to catch up. Heard excellent things about it.
Thanks....good to know. My daughter recommended it and it’s really not her type of show either but she says it’s good.
Up to episode four-fantastic. So many of these types of series either fade or end quickly; as if they want to pack up the cameras and go home but Ozark is ace.
