Haha... meant my left thumb. My problem isn't with typing but thinking, lol.

What is the issue that you are having with your new tablet, @Patsy Faye ? Is it something to do with the tablet itself or that you are still trying to get used to it ?
I don’t personally know anything at all about Samsung tablets, but maybe someone else here knows about them and can help you out. Also, look up a youtube tutorial for your specific tablet, and see if that helps you use it better.
Each tablet has its own procedures, even though they are all touchscreen tablets. My Kindle is totally different than the iPad (and comparatively.... very user-unfriendly for anything except reading a book), and I am sure that your tablet is that way, too.
When you first start using a touchscreen, as opposed to a laptop and mouse, it feels completely odd; but once you get used to doing it, you will never want anything else.
    As Chrissy said......don’t give up ! !

    @Chrissy Cross @Yvonne Smith
Thanks both - I 'will' persevere, I have to for the reason I got it

I said to Fabs (with hand to me forehead) Oh, I can't do it, its a nightmare typing on the bloomin thing
Show me, he says and proceeds (laid back manner) to type using one finger and not slow exactly o_O
    Hmm, OK says I - I'll try again ................. tomorrow ..................

    :p

You just have to get used to it...I think everything is touch screen now and just recently at my daughter's tried to type on her computer screen with my finger. :)

Patsy, order an external bluetooth keyboard, and you will think that you are using a nice lightweight laptop. What size is your new tablet ?

I have done that at Robin’s, too ! She has a Mac laptop, and she quietly sat there , chuckling to herself, as she watched me poking her computer screen and getting more frustrated because it was not responding like I expected.
Finally (I guess she felt sorry for me after all), she said “Mom, that is not a touchscreen”, and then I felt silly. Once you get used to it, I am pretty sure that touchscreens are addictive.

My daughter got me a keyboard one Christmas. It's still in the box, I never even opened it. Think it might have been for my old iPad ...don't know if it would even work for this one....

If they are both an iPad Air, it will probably work, @Chrissy Cross . They are both the same size, I think, just the newer one has more features. You might as well try it out and see if it fits. I think you would like it once you try it, I know that I sure liked it much better than sitting there with the iPad in my lap doing the one-finger typing thing.
It looks like you can use that one with the keyboard detached and the iPad sitting in the little groove; so even of the whole case does not work right (which I think that it will work), you can still use the keyboard for typing.
Bobby has one like that and he likes it because he can easily take the iPad in and out of the keyboard holder. Mine fits snugly in the case and does not just lift right out like his does.

Just had another dabble on the Tablet - this time, seemed easier
Its just that I'm used to the laptop and need a bit more time with the Tablet, I think I'll master it :)
