Had one delivered and installed this morning - what a palava !
I'll be brief, nothing went to plan and the finishing touch was, there was a gap left at the top
(its a slot into cupboard opening type - eye level)
The fitter says have you 2 bits of wood about 'this' thickness
    No
So it was a frantic rush to call a neighbour and ask him and he did have 2 bits of wood !
One fitted perfectly, the other, too wide. So, asking the neighbour for a saw now.
As Fabs is sawing away, we're told to hurry up 'cos he has another job to go to
I tell ya we was frazzled by the end of it all and the cleaning of it is yet to be done ...........

Ha ha - you know what Chrissy, 'more' women should design ovens - there's always some silly little
feature that is a 'sod' to clean

Bloody cheek @Patsy Faye ...was this the shops' own fitter?...I'd make a complaint.

I think there's been a malevolent moon today...so many things have gone wrong today here as well ..I can't tell you...I'll be glad when this day is over!!

I probably should complain but ended up feeling sorry for them
Their work conditions are terrible and they 'have to' work bank holidays too :(
Its done - and will be Christened today, I think I'll call it 'oven' :p

My wife long ago convinced me the best all-around oven for us is a Microwave/Convection type. We have owned 3 now, one wrecked in MO by vandals, the 2nd. was too small, she decided. A garage/moving sale response turned up the largest home-use unit made by Sharp:

Very unusual, in that the door opens downwards, instead of sideways. The guy wanted $35 for it. My wife tested it in both heating modes, and, satisfied, we bought it. That's a loaf of bread in the pic. This design allows use of both microwaving and standard "heat" cooking, simultaneously, or either type separately. Novel and useful. Our regular stove's oven is almost never used, except for large batches of work which would require multiple runs in the Sharp.
