This can be either your first or last name, and if you are not using your real name here, then it can be someone who shares the name you are using. (Whatever works for you)
Share a little bit about the actor/actress if you can, and whether you liked that person or not.

I choose Yvonne DeCarlo, who was actually one of my favorite actfesses, and she played in some of the western movies back in the 1950’s, as well as being the wife of Moses in the Ten Commandments.
Many people also remember her as the wife on the Munsters, which I never enjoyed, and thought it was sad that she came to end up in this kind of a poor comedy television show.

This is from the movie, Calamity Jane and Sam Bass, which came out in 1949. I don’t remember if I watched this movie or not, but I liked the picture from it.

Nancy Sinatra. My mother said my name was chosen in part because of the Frank Sinatra song, Nancy with the Laughing Face :p, which came out around 1945.

Trivia: The song wasn't really written about Frank Sinatra's wife or his daughter.

She also said if I'd been a boy I would have been Gary. Gary Cooper? [IMG]

I won't say which is a match, but I share a name with William Shatner. I was just commenting on a film he made in the 1960s (Incubus) that was acted entirely in Esperanto, a language that was constructed in the late 1800s by a Polish ophthalmologist. The good doctor was trying to create a universal language that was easy to learn and had highly regular grammar (very few exceptions.) It takes a degree of intelligence to learn a fabricated language and act an entire movie solely speaking (and hearing) a "language" that is essentially meaningless to you.

Because he was type-cast as Captain Kirk, Shatner could not find work after Star Trek was cancelled. He lost his home and lived in a truck-bed camper until he could start all over again with bit parts.

He is well-known in equestrian circles, raising American Saddlebreds. In 2018, Shatner was awarded the National Reining Horse Association Lifetime Achievement Award in the National Reining Horse Association Hall of Fame. In 2019, he won a world championship with his Standardbred road horse Track Star while showing at the Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show in Louisville.

I found his Star Trek acting to be over the top, but have grown to really appreciate him. He first started acting in the mid 1950s, and as far as I know, continues to work (his most recent credits being in 2021.) That's darned near 70 years of working, with a smattering of picking himself up and starting all over!

One very famous movie star of the 50’s was Alan Ladd, who is very close to sharing your name, @Al Amoling . He starred in the movie “Shane” which is a classic movie from that time period, as well as many other well-known movies.

There is also Allen “Rocky” Lane, who starred in western movies, and even had his own comic books. If we look at Last names, we have Rex Allen, a movie star and singer, who was also the narrator in most of the Disney documentaries .

Allan Hawco, Allan Melvin, Keith Allan. There are lots of Alans but not many Allans. A few Alannas but they are women.

Both named Faye, strong-willed, driven, broad-shouldered, small-breasted, the same shoe size, once had the same weight and body measures, and almost the same height. Both Fayes once shared the love of two-piece outfits and exposed midriffs.

I just did a web search and only came up with a Swedish actor and a guy who played in a couple of Marx brother's movies (Allan Jones.)

    How very interesting.
