Dachshunds are truly wonderful little dogs, Chrissy ! They are really smart and very loyal. I had one of the blue Merle long haired Dachshunds many years ago, and she was just a wonderful little dog. Here is a picture of Greta.
His brother was a long hair but most in the litter were short hairs. My grandson's teacher bought the long hair one and he was named Zeus, and became a therapy kind of dog so he was in the classroom with them all the time.

She's having 3 couples over for drinks and appetizers. The alcohol is a recipe she got from Roys at Pebble Beach ....it's a pineapple infused martini. It's been infusing for 3 days now....fresh pineapple and vodka and rum. Some of the appetizers are tri tip sliders, shrimp salsa, guacamole and chips and I forget what else...all finger foods though. I'll probably say "hi" and go upstairs. Took some pics of her kitchen just now....
Her coffee Bar area and the other pic is all Rae Dunn ceramics which are popular here. They sell them at Marshalls, TJ Max and Home Goods. They're not expensive but hard to get certain items...people are buying them and then selling them on eBay for quite a profit. A $15 canister can go for $100! The ones with capital lettering are more desired. It's crazy... My daughter is still just looking for one that says "COFFEE". Then of course the holiday ones are/ will be big sellers. I never heard of Rae Dunn until a few months ago...looked her up and she was from Fresno....probably rich now. And all they are are ceramic pieces with words on them.
