I will miss her but could no longer stand her keeping me awake at night by sleeping on my head or jumping on my chest. I need some sleep. She was a sweet and affectionate kitty and we got along fine.

So, what’s preventing you from asking other residents if they want a cat complete with the scratch post, cat food, kitty litter box and the leftover kitty litter?

The chances of being re-homed are good but on the outside of that it’s also possible that it might not be.
The cat’s life might be in your hands Lon.

All that security built up and Strawberry was finally feeling safe and sound and BANG, a homeless cat.

As was asked earlier, we are wondering what might be preventing you from asking the residents at Oakmont if any of them would like your Roommate, Cranberry; since she no longer interests you ?
You have mentioned that several of your friends asked about her and expressed an interest in Cranberry and wished that they also had a cat.
It seems perfectly logical to me that you would be offering Cranberry to your friends at the facility before sending her back to the animal control facility to try and be re-homed, (and hopefully, not just euthanized).

Lon is ignoring me Hal so I’m afraid you’ll have to clarify your answer to Lon.

It appears the cat has got his tongue.

    Ooooooo……yuk!
It has been proposed that the idiom, “cat got your tongue” comes from ancient Egypt when they fed someone’s freshly amputated tongue to the cats.

On second thought, perhaps you’re right Faye. The cat may have been looking over Lon’s shoulder when he announced his intentions to the forum.
    Cats can be v e r y devious and vengeful…

There is only one single positive note here. Whoever has to take out the dirty kitty litter will be thankful.
Hey! There’s an idea! Maybe the kitty litter lady will want the cat?

Sounds to me that Lon doesn't want to talk about giving the cat away to someone where he lives.

Anyway, for some reason I had a feeling inside this was going to happen.
