I like foreign and independent films the best so I can never remember their titles. Usually I can only watch a movie once though.

I liked the trilogy that Julie Delphy was in but all I can remember is that they all started with "Before". Sunrise??

Gee, I've never seen most of the movies you folks have listed as favorites. Some I've never heard of before. I need to get out more. A lot more. With that caveat, here's my short list:

    Vertigo
    Rear Window
    Casablanca
    Key Largo

There may be others, but we're in the middle of a solar eclipse, so......

    Uh, let's see:

Journey to the Center of the Earth (1960)
    Cool Hand Luke
    North By Northwest
    Spirited Away (2001)
    Beetlejuice
    It's a Wonderful Life
    Scrooge (1951)
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
    Wizard of Oz (1939)
    The House of Usher (1960)

Like Chrissy, I don't re-watch most movies, but I've viewed most of these 2 or more times. Oh yeah, Rear Window is a great flick as well...

    Cheers!

OH My... except for fiddler on the roof... I can and have watched just about every major musical many times... there has to be a bit of space between watching them, a couple of years or more, but yes I've watched Oklahoma, Sound of Music, Oliver, the King and I... South Pacific, Singing in the rain, Calamity Jane.. 7 brides for 7 brothers. ( my favourite). Holiday Inn...and so many more... more times than I could count probably

Comedies like the Gremlins and ET I've watched several times ...and the Every which way but loose trilogy

I have watched westerns several times, particularly if they have Clint or John Wayne in them...but I hated True grit... and loved the 'cowboys' with all the children as ranchers...

I can't tell you how many times I've watched It's a wonderful life...many , times.... and equally the Glen Miller story...
I saw Woody Allen's Annie... and Manhattan several times..

Loved Shawshank redemption...but once was enough for me... although I watched Play Misty for me..several times

I watched On Golden pond more than once ... and Papillion.... with Steve McQueen

Having read all that you won't believe that I'm not a film fan...I rarely have the patience so they have to be very good for me to get through a whole 90 minutes or more..

If I had to choose only 3 films I could watch for the rest of my life...it would be hard...but I think it would have to be an eclectic mix...

    Brief Encounter...

    Mississippi Burning

    ...and 7 brides or Oliver...

    Three? I saw only two!

The Untouchables (Kevin Costner) & True Lies (Arnold Schwarzenegger) are also fun to rewatch.

We are getting ready to rent/watch The Shack again. It was a little odd seeing Octavia Spencer as God, since the only actor, since George Burns played the roll with John Denver, has been Morgan Freeman. Also want to watch We Bought A Zoo again. Have seen The Help and Hidden Figures a couple of times.

Just order our tickets to 'Casablanca', the 75th Anniversary on TCM Big Screen Classics
    in our city.

We're going to the Sunday matinee, Nov. 12th, then dinner after.

    Should be a special time.

I just watched the "We'll always have Paris" clip from Casablanca. That was back when actors could act and not have to have all the explosions, car crashes, etc.

My favorite is the "African Queen" with Bogart and Hepburn. I've seen it a few times.

And, of course, the Star Wars movies, especially 4, 5, 6 and 7. Even though we have them, not too keen on 1, 2, 3 or Rogue One. If I get a knack to see some of my old Western cowboy hero's, will put in the DVD Player, The Gambler......Luck of the Draw.

One thing for sure, movies and obviously some other things, can distinguish different age brackets and personalities. When we are having a homemade margarita and Taco Bell food, we will definitely watch a comedy movie and laugh our butts off. If we are in the movie for suspense and/or action, we will watch a movie like Shattered or To Paris With Love. On a Sunday, we could watch a movie like Risen or Do You Believe.

Yep, pretty much covers it for us.

I had to check to see if I listed any movies that I find myself repeatedly watching and there are quite a few

    All the Die Hard movies
    All the Terminator movies
All the Alien and Predator movies
Both of the Tomb Raider movies (I read a new addition will be coming)
    All the Indiana Jones movies
    All the Resident Evil movies
    All the Matrix movies
    All the Mission Impossible movies
All the Fast and Furious movies

    What can I say ... :D
