Maine has had a law against it for a few years now but I haven't heard of too many people being ticketed for it. That doesn't mean that they're not, since it's not the sort of offense that would find itself on the front page of the newspaper. I also live in a part of the state where we don't have a lot of cops, or other drivers for that matter.

I've never heard of anyone getting a ticket either, I also never see anyone talking on a phone in a car while driving, maybe because it's been the law for 8 years and people have gotten used to it, plus all the newer cars come equipped with booth capabilitie. My car is a 2012 so even that is 4 years ago....I'm sure even earlier models came that way.

There really is no reason to be talking on a cell phone nowadays.

We just have a new and indifferent breed of drivers. People get in there car and drive. They never look at their speedometer, instead go as fast as traffic allows.

I do use mine while I'm driving sometimes but only when I'm in northern Maine, where there isn't any traffic.

Why not? That's what I did way back when...would have the phone in my lap and on speaker. If someone was in the car with me I would tell the person I was talking to that they're on speaker.

The truth is that I have no idea how to set the speaker phone on my iPhone. I use it to make and receive calls and, occasionally, to get online when I don't have a computer with me, but that's about it.

I see plenty of people using the phones, even though it's against the law here
They get points on their licence - unless they kill someone or themselves :(
One woman killed herself because she had to text 'I'm happy' (her last words) because she was listening
to the song 'Happy - by Pharrell Williams'

I was amazed a slightly different topic. The number of young women applying make up whilst driving. Or even worse signing and looking at themselves in the mirror.

How is it I was up early, dressed, make up applied hair brushed. Ready to drive.

As my mum always told me get up half an hour earlier. Then you won't be lateo_O

Perhaps we are turning into our mothers. Something I told my mum would never happen. Although my brother does keep saying. You are so much like mum. Nah I say:). She had a lovely heart though x

My phone came with it, nothing to set up. I called my home phone just now so I could get screenshot of it...you just touch the pic of the speaker.
