Today I had to go shopping. I'm a bus rider and you got to be patient when you start riding the bus. I just finished shopping and headed for the bus stops. I just got there, hoped the bus would come soon for I was running a bit late. My bus just came withing a few seconds! Life can be so sweet sometimes. Have you ever had times when life just hands you a sweet solution recently?
Yes, the day I would have been late for work, but all 15 traffic lights were green as I drove through, so I just made it!
Yes I find a day will sometimes flow, everything seems to be in your favour and you are able to achieve a lot. I also have days when nothing goes right and I tend to think maybe I should tackle this job or whatever another day, which if I can I do tend to do now.
Some 3 years ago, we only had 1 car, a 14-year old Honda Civic. We have here in Metro Manila the so called color-coding where the car cannot be used 1 day in a week. That old car is banned on the roads every Thursday. And on those days, I had to take the bus. It's so difficult to stand on the aisle of the bus so I later took the van which is more expensive and sometimes when I am lucky, I would chance upon an empty taxicab which would cost me a fortune but it's all right for the convenience. In 2013, we bought a new car and after selling the old car, we bought another new. In other words, we now have 2 brand new cars with different days of color coding that means we have a car any day of the week. Now it is a comfort to think that I need not take the public transport anymore.
I am to ashamed to say I got excited about the topic "Life is sweet". I thought it was about pastries!! Sometimes we just can't hide who we are, can we? Ha, ha.
