    We have 2; a Lincoln MKX and a Jeep Wrangler that we bought to tow behind our motorhome. My husband drives the Jeep as his daily driver. We could probably get by just fine with a single vehicle but it's nice to have two.

    I know that you have mentioned that you have had AAA for some time; but when writing about your wife’s flat tire, you explained about needing to find someone to take you to where she was broken down, and the apartment manager took you to where she was, and then you called AAA to come and help.
    That is what made me think that maybe you didn't’ realize that you didn’t have to go to where she was broken down, if your wife had a cell phone, because she could simply have texted AAA on their app, and they would have come and changed the tire for her, or towed the vehicle somewhere had that been required.
    Since cell phones have GPS, you don’t even have to tell AAA where you are at anymore, they can get your exact location when you message them for help.

    When our old station wagon overheated on me, I just texted AAA and they came right out, so no other person or vehicle is needed usually.

    My first car was a 1934 Plymouth sedan, purchased in 1951, when I was 15.

    It was the only one of my 27 cars that was older than me! (Born 1936)

    I paid $35 for the car, but it needed a muffler, so our neighborhood mechanic/blacksmith sold me a used muffler and welded it on, all for a dollar!

    I then had $36 invested in the automobile.

    It had a 6-piston, 77 HP engine and ran perfectly.

    At 20 cents per gallon, It cost me $3.60 to fill the 18-gallon tank.

    I'm a happy Uber customer. Sometimes I use Lyft instead. I pay less monthly than insurance alone would probably cost me. For longer trips, I rent a car for the day or weekend or.....

    @Beth Gallagher
    How do you disconnect the driveline in the Lincoln when towing it?

    We tow the Jeep Wrangler, Frank. It has a baseplate installed and is simple to take out of gear for towing. As I understand it, the Lincoln can also be towed 4 down but we never have because we don't want the expense of another baseplate.
