Do you have a family member or friend that always seem to fit the "know it all" category? IOW, someone that doesn't really want to hear your opinion and keeps talking so they don't have to. They think "I'm right and will always be right, no matter what your opinion/thoughts are." I have a friend, that wife and I knew his wife before she passed, that sometimes he can try to convince me he's always right. He references the way things were some 30/40 years ago, not today. Then again, when it comes to rodeo, wife and I can be "know it all's", but that's because we know so much about it. But, if we being told things that we really didn't know about, that 'know it all" status would most definitely stop.
We have a talk radio host here who cuts callers off if he hears something he doesn't like and talks over them.
Most radio talk show hosts do that. The late Rush Limbaugh did less of that than most. As for know-it-alls in real life, I don't think I've come across anyone who was too obnoxious in that way. Since I know pretty much everything that I need to know, and am right on every issue, I probably wouldn't notice.
We HAD one of them right here in Adelaide he passed away in 2016 while still married to his “nurse” his 7th Wife @Ed Wilson. HE …described Anna his 7th Wie as his “Nurse” Between him and her they had 12 marriages between them including Bobs very pubic marriage to a well known Madam. He released a book months before his sudden death called “Kiss My Arse” one of his popular sayings to anyone who cheesed him off. I have a copy of the book I intended reading but I haven’t as yet which appears to be not available any more , after I goggled the title without success We would often run into him and his “nurse” in Costco, he’d had accident on his very expensive Harley motor bike and had to resort to a 3 wheel gopher to get around town ( he lived very close to the city) His gopher was big, almost like a 3 wheel motor bike Copied this bit One of his most controversial acts, also believed to have been one of the most controversial acts by any Australian talk show radio host, occurred on 27 September 2005 whilst talking to an elderly female listener. Francis spoke arrogantly to her, referring to her as a "stupid old lady" and repeatedly calling her a "dickbrain". The way he spoke and treated the elderly listener made headlines, and was even featured on Media Watch two weeks later.[11] Francis refused to say sorry over the incident, saying "I loved it. If it was taken in context, she had a go at me. She was being nasty" and that "If she rang again, I'd do the same thing". In February 2005, 5AA were found guilty by the country's peak broadcasting regulator, regarding comments made in regard to aboriginals on Francis' program. It is unknown who made the comments or what the comments were, just that they were likely to have incited or perpetuated hatred against Aboriginal people on the basis of their race. The station issued an apology over the incident.[12] In October 2005, Francis was involved in a legal issue after making inflammatory comments about a senior magistrate, Gary Gumpl. live on-air while commenting on a case involving Robert John Walker who had been charged with one count of possessing child pornography. Francis described Gumpl's decision to hear a bail application as "irresponsible" and made comments such as "Am I here as a normal bloody human being, or do judges live in another world?" and "Oh, smash the judge's face in." He later issued a public apology.[13]
