When you hear the name Jesus what is the first thought that comes to your mind? Was Jesus really the Son of God, a Prophet, or just another human being like you and me? With Easter just around the corner, Jesus is on my mind more than usual. Yes, I believe Jesus is the Son of God...that's not hard for me to believe at all. I have a harder time believing that someone loved me enough to willingly die a horrible and cruel death for me. I still struggle with that sometimes...but it is much easier to understand since I had my daughters. The moment after their births when I held each one of them in my arms...I knew I would willingly give my life for theirs in a heartbeat! I felt that same way each time I held one of my grandchildren for the first time too. Being able to experience this willingness to lay down my life for my children and grandchildren helped me see that Jesus (as God come down to earth) loved His children enough to willingly lay down His life to save them too. When I hear the name Jesus...my first thought is "Thank You".
