Mayor Pete, lookin' good. DES MOINES, Iowa — Pete Buttigieg is leading the Iowa caucuses with 62 percent of 99 counties reporting, the Iowa Democratic Party said at a briefing Tuesday afternoon, nearly an entire day after a smartphone app malfunction delayed the reporting of results. Buttigieg earned 26.9 percent of the votes counted so far, followed by Sen. Bernie Sanders with 25.1 percent. Sen. Elizabeth Warren has earned 18.3 percent and former Vice President Joe Biden is in fourth place with 15.6 percent. Candidates are vying for 41 possible delegates, and are only eligible to receive a portion of that total if they hit over 15 percent viability in each precinct.
Some are whining that the impeachment mess had more of a detrimental effect on Biden's campaign than the President. (and may I say, "lol.")
One person wrote on titter that the problem was actually that there were so man write-in votes for Trump, that he won the Democrat caucus, too ! ! Not likely true, but funny, anyway. Apparently , Bernie expected problems at the polls like what happened with Hillary and the DNC the last presidential election, so he sent people (secretly) to count the votes and write everything down, so that they could not cheat him out of his votes. Of course, as a Socialist, he should have been more than happy to share his votes..... but that is beside the point right now.
I just saw the Fox News headline that they are calling Bernie Sanders the winner in the Nevada caucus ; but the shocker is that they are calling him a Communist , not a Socialist !
