Although I know people didn't live as long and life was hard back then, I have always thought I would have liked to have lived during the Pioneer Days.

Maybe Little House on the Prairie helped make me feel that way, but there were lots of movies and books pertaining to the Pioneer Days that make me a feel a yearning to have lived in those days. I'd have had a hard time taking a bath just once a week but just like in the depression era...it seems to me families needed one another...and they knew they needed God too.

Even when I studied History in school, those days were always of major interest to me. I don't believe in reincarnaton so I don't think I was a pioneer woman in another life. :) If there were time machines though I would go back to that time and try that era out for awhile. :)

Did you ever think about living in another era and if so when?

The Victorian era has always appealed to me but with less layers of clothing. :)

For me I think it would be in the 17th. century, before the American Indian lost control of their future. Maybe back then my genetics would have been stronger, and less muddled. They were a physically healthy and strong people. And from what my grandmother told me, the man versus woman thing wasn't as big a deal to their social makeup.

Yep - I'd have been a warrior, there was a female warrior we saw on a documentary about her
Wish I could recall her name - began with letter L ...................

Hi @Patsy Faye , the one that pops into my mind was called Lozen. She rode as a warrior with Geronimo and Victorio.

Probably during the Viking Age, so I could invade and take what I want.

The thought that when I die I would go to Valhalla to fight during the day
and party all night long. Repeat for all eternity.

Odin seems like a fair sort...:)

Well, there were certainly negative aspects to that particular period of time- which I suppose can be said for any era- but I'd pick the late 1950s- earliest 1960s. Much of life was just plain common sense.

Yes @Janice Martin , things would have been 'dicey' back in that period.
I might have to rethink this...
