    I have made a decision today that I will do this within the next three months or as soon as I have my Cochlear Implant.
    I now have a two bed two bath, balcony, apartment with full kitchen, washer and dryer and will be moving to a first class facility where I will have a one bedroom one full bath, kitchenette. Included will be three full daily meals in their dining room or delivered to my apartment, daily and weekly house keeping. free cable and wi fi. The amenities are outstanding and my Long Term Care Policy will pay the bulk of my monthly charges after a 90 day elimination period. It's become a real chore for me to continue cooking for my self and doing other chores. Time for some assistance.

    Sometime a wise decision. And you know it does happen in the best of families. Good on you, Lon.

    @Lon Tanner , my neighbor's mom did that and she was quite happy with her choice. She chose the same options you did. Later, when she needed it, they had someone check on her routinely to make sure she was OK. She didn't need a caretaker and was able to remain independent.

    @Lon Tanner
    I cannot commend you more for your candor, down to earth approach to circumstances, and really must apologize for my previous harassment of some of your stands on that other Seniors Forum. Best wishes be with you! Frank and imp

    I am hoping, and assume that he will have Internet access. Probably, he's busy adjusting to the new conditions, meeting new people, etc.

    Unless he changed his mind from what he said above...I don't think he has made the move yet. I'm sure we will hear something soon. :)

    I think that it is a beautiful place, and it looks like the apartments are spacious, and the food looks delicious. When to you get the cochlear ear transplant ? I know you said that yo were having that done before you moved.
    I found this little video that shows more of the Oakmont apartments.
