I sleep on my left side most of the time with my left hand under the pillow and my right hand curled up beside of it. Last night I dreamed that there was an electric wire shooting sparks. I knew it would be extremely dangerous to touch it but for some reason, I knew I had to touch it. I think maybe I was going to fix it by touching it. Anywho, I had to touch it. So I touched it. It went PPPZZZZZFT and I jerked my hand back...………………………………. and socked myself right in the nose, POW! Rather a rude awakening.
@Shirley Martin I have had similar experiences, where suddenly I come awake after experiencing some weird thing like a shock or poke or fall........Mainly, I think it stems from my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, which makes both hands feel "asleep" most all the time. Only my little fingers are less affected, and so in order to "feel" texture" like smooth vs. rough, I have to slide my little finger over it, my jaw after shaving, the table-top checking for crumbs., etc. Very disconcerting. Do you have any waking awareness of such nerve affectation? It could explain weird dreams related to "feel" or "shock". Frank
My dreams are more exciting than my real life...really enjoy them. Sometimes there's even a younger man in them.
