I had one last year and though it's a completely painless procedure my 6' 4" body can never get comfortable on their damn examining beds, cots, bunk, boards WHATEVER.
I had one last year before they put my pacemaker in, and I have had several over the years so that they can monitor my heart functions. What did they say about how your heart was doing, @Lon Tanner ?
I am OK and have pacemaker too. I had Atrial Fib for many years until I had a Pulmonary Vein Ablation. Do you take a blood thinner Yvonne?
Yes, I take Eliquis , and since I also had a pulmonary embolism, they said i probably have to keep taking it, even if my heart is not in a-fib. My ejection fraction and my kidney function has actually been improving, so I think that the exercise and plant-based diet is helping. I will know more when I have my next blood tests done in another month or so.
I take Xarelto and hate it. The slightest nick or scratch and I'll bleed. Bump my nose sleeping and I will get a nose bleed. I'm very glad for Electric Razors. Both Xarelto & Eliquis are expensive.
I've had two. I had one in January 2020 in the hospital when I had a TIA (small stroke.) Then they referred me to a cardiologist and he did his own ($$$) along with an agitated saline solution test to see if I had a hole in my heart (I don't.) His test showed that I have vegetative growth on my aortic valve (a common thing), which had a very slight chance of maybe causing the small stroke. He's wanted to go in there to look at it "just to be safe" ($$$), but COVID has deferred this procedure. They both tested me for AFib (which can contribute to stroke), and I don't have it.
