I really don't want to spend the money but if I want to get out and walk, I'm not going to do it anyplace else. The gym is supposed to have a new walking area. And since I don't really like treadmills that will be good. I think I can do 3 months at a time so no year commitment. I'm going to go in next week. If I ever find a mobile in a park, I won't need the membership as I should feel safe walking in the park. Not too many old people out harassing pedestrians.
No, not at all @Frank Sanoica I live in a good area where I see a lot of people walking and walking their dogs. There is a mix of apartments (where I live), condos and nice houses. I just have a fear of being bothered and I was attacked on a bike trail years ago. I think the gym is the best thing, cost and all.
Some young males @Holly Saunders They purposely sprayed me in the face with pepper spray. Happened to a woman the night before they said. This was over 15 years ago and just what I didn't need. I had bought a new bike (though I was walking at the time) but never rode the bike again.
Oh lord, I'm sorry that happened to you Kitty.. how horrible...but you're like me, once bad incident and the fear of it happening again will put me off something...such a pity it put you off riding your bike but I understand..
I just will never understand why people have to do things like that and change a person's life forever @Kitty Carmel. I'm so sorry you experienced this and have this fear now. I pray that the fear will be lifted from you if you want it to be.
