At least he wasn't standing in a ditch pretending to be in a storm.

I need to revisit the old video of Geraldo getting knocked down by a wave on the Galveston seawall. Too bad it didn't drag him out to sea.

It is interesting to note that the wind which is literally blowing Cantore around does not ever have any affect on the camera person, or on the camera. It is perfectly still for the whole video.

There are some other videos of Cantore and the tree, and everyone else in the video can stand up and walk around with no problem.

Maybe the news guys are just trying to show people how dangerous it is to be out in this thing.

A talking head was noting that with today's prices, product availability issues and supply chain chaos, the damage from this is gonna take a very long time to fix.

Well, just like Reporters on the battlefield during the Korean War, Vietnam Conflict and so on............there are those that want to see "up close" what is happening as it is happening. Both The Weather Channel and CNN had reporters all over the parts where Ian was hitting. But, like War/Conflict Reporters, they are paid very, very highly for putting themselves in danger.

Isn't it a warm feeling knowing all our tax dollars was spent this past two years on providing the things it was meant to be supplied to us going to illegals. They don't seem to have any problems finding the money and necessities to take care of foreigners that are here illegally. I often wondered why they closed 2/3rds of our old historic military bases and not keeping even one in good order to provide shelter and a home to people that will be misplaced for years before they can return home after enduring one of these really bad storms. Not one politician has a brain, they think we are made of huge sums of money. Those bases that were destroyed had everything needed to provide for misplaced people. There is barracks and and mess halls and even hospitals, movie theaters and a whole lot more just thrown away without even so much as a thought for the future. It shows the true level of intelligence by people we elect. Every problem America faces today was caused by this bunch of losers in DC. There I feel better now and time to go to bed, I am just thankful the storm did not enter the Gulf and ruin my day.

Right up there with the Jim Cantore video fighting his way through the flood waters (a few years back) when other people were walking around normally, comes this picture of a guy who supposedly swam a half mile through the flooded streets in Florida to rescue his mother when her house flooded.
One cannot help but wonder why he didn’t get her out of that house way before it flooded, and is it not amazing, that she still had to stand there in the cold water, soaking wet, while her son (nicely bundled up with hat and coat) took selfies before getting his mom out.
Since he swam all of the way there, what happened to poor mom once he got her out of the house ? Did she have to swim the half mile back to his house after being rescued ?

Does this guy remind anybody else of Zelinski ?

Yeh, if he lives 1/2 mile up the road, why was she on her own in a wheelchair during this? Heck, the certain power outage would be a struggle for her. There's a YouTube vid on it, and all of the comments are singing his praises. Maybe she refused to leave.
