A nationally acclaimed high school principal is standing by a new dress code she created not for students, but for their parents. The code says attire that is "totally unacceptable for the school setting" will get parents kicked off campus. Carlotta Outley Brown, the principal of James Madison High School in Houston, Texas, issued new the rules earlier this month after one mother allegedly showed up at the school wearing a headwrap and t-shirt dress. The parental dress code applies only to the high school – not the rest of the district. MORE HERE Naturally, the "racist" claims have already started, though interestingly the principal is a black woman. What a shame that people who should be setting an example for their children have to be told how to dress in public.
A little off subject, but a lady came into a Waffle House restaurant here wearing a bathrobe and slippers. As far as some customers, like wife and I, could figure out, that's all she was wearing. She was also wearing two hospital ID bracelets and told another customer, who was waiting to be seated, that she just had a baby. Seeing a woman walk into a restaurant in a bathrobe was a first for me, but have seen a lady here in our complex, go to the trash can area wearing a bathrobe.
The restaurant manager should have escorted the 'lady' OUT. People really are amazingly stupid. And if I want to see people eating breakfast in a bathrobe, I'll stay at home.
I have often wondered- do these people even own a mirror ? How can you leave yhe hoyse dressed like that?
She sounds like an educator who genuinely cares for her students. Kudos to her. We need a lot more like her.
