That's right, Beth, and ol' Roy played that tune in the key of G (what else?), using the chords G, Em, & D7.
I watched Hee Haw a few times, but the singers just seemed to old for me. As I really got into country music, George Strait, Hank Jr., Dwight Yoakam, Garth Brooks, Terri Clark, Alan Jackson were some of my favorites.
I never watched Hee Haw, but my parents enjoyed it. They watched it every week when I was a kid.
I watched every once in a while.
It was like Laugh In for the country crowd.
Hee Haw was actually pretty funny.

I started listening to bluegrass some time ago. The harmonies are incredible. And where else can you hear a song about whistle pigs?
