I just watched The Heavy Water War, a six-part miniseries by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, about the German nuclear weapon project, which depended on heavy water produced in Norway, and the efforts of a coalition of Norwegians and British to sabotage its heavy water production, in an attempt at interfering with Germany’s efforts to develop a nuclear bomb.

The dialogue was in Norwegian, German, English and Danish, with each of the parties speaking in their own language, which is entirely different than American films that have Germans speaking in accented English, etc.

The series was based on real people and events, although only one of the Norwegian Nazi collaborators were mentioned by name. If you can deal with foreign languages or tolerate captions, it’s a good series.

On Netflix, it is known as The Heavy Water War, although its original title is Kampen Om Tungtvannet, which is translated by IMDb as The Saboteurs.
