    What an inspiring happening for you @Patsy Faye. :) You never got yourself a horse? :oops: I'm too old now, and my neighbor is trying to train him to dance. They go on the trail rides we have around here every year. I do know that he never lets anyone else handle or care for the horse, so I try to keep my distance.

    I have no idea why the horse is attracted to me. I have never touched him, but he is so beautiful I just can't stop watching him. :confused:

    That's a shame you can't go near, they sense our feelings
    and, before anyone says about feeding him, my relationship with this horse was remarkable
    and a leek is a vegetable that grew a plenty there. He could have his fill :)

    @Patsy Faye
    Hordes of seagulls hang around here all winter, 200 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico, but nonetheless attracted by the Colorado River, which is rife with food for them. They are far larger birds than I ever pictured them, quite a bit larger than typical chickens, and have very large wingspreads allowing them to sail along seemingly effortlessly. Here is one this past winter, serenely posing for my wife along the riverwalk. Appears to be a well-fed bird oblivious to the human parade walking by. We humans believe we have mastered "existence", but I DEFY one to perch on a ball like this, much less the one we saw doing so on one leg!

    Great picture Frank :)
    I like seagulls when they are near to the sea and not inland
    The past few years here, they have come inland, roosting in chimney pots
    They are rife here, everywhere you go - so they have become a nuisance, sadly
