Gosh it's hard to believe I was only 3 years old in 1954.

 

That looks like a muddy, cold, miserable place to spend Christmas, @Lon Tanner . Thank you for serving there.

Where was kimpo, Lou, was it in Taegue?

 

Kimpo is now called Gimpo International and is at the west end of Seoul. Taegu is now called Daegu.

 

Yes, I knew the names had been changed. I have been corresponding with a South Korean professor off and on over the years. I, too, was in Korea but In the army. I was in the hospital at the air base at Taegu for a ten days or so before transfer to a hospital in Japan.
