According to the Hillary Clinton emails released by WikiLeaks, the search engine company, Google, was conspiring to overthrow the Syria government. Is Yahoo going to come to the defense of the Assad administration next, I wonder? By the way, the Clinton emails are available and searchable on the WikiLeaks site.
@Ken Anderson : I suspect this sort of activity stems from the fact that there exists today, a small number of extremely rich (therefore, powerful) young and angry men, who originated these computer entities, and achieved billionaire status almost overnight. Not speaking necessarily of Google, which I know little about, but rather from rankings researched and published by Forbes, Inc. Frank
There have long been rumors that the founders of Google were financed by the CIA early on, and Google does seem to get things like satellite access for its Google Earth, that other companies probably couldn't.
@Ken Anderson : Ah, the mysteries of "Geopolitical Strategy" are well beyond my comprehension. A lot makes little or no sense, whether viewed from the consideration it is aimed at "national security", political standing, or simply control of the masses.
In a way, internet with Google has done the public very good service. People are now awakened to the reality that we need to be educated, well-informed, studying and making up our own minds regarding truth from falsehood and speaking up our 1st Amendment voice now -- trashing noisy violent leftist liberal PC bullies. The Government, the Federal Big Bucks Reserve aren't doing very well with uprightness and truth. Non-government lawful citizens have smartened up. They can discern for themselves what is political pandering with the message of Romney's, "people don't really understand". -!@#!##!! Those expletives aren't Google keyword searchable, hence, not security-risk. Haha!
